How the pipeline works

  • Build

    Code changes trigger an automated build on your private GitLab CI/CD pipeline. Dependencies are resolved and a deployable artifact is created, so every environment runs the exact same code, not a manually assembled copy.

  • Test

    Automated tests run against the build before it reaches any live environment, catching issues early rather than after release.

  • Deploy

    Once a build passes testing, it's deployed to the target environment through the Platform using one of several supported deployment methods, removing manual, one-off deployment steps that introduce risk.

  • Extend and customise

    Pipeline steps can be adapted to your project's needs as part of your setup with our team, so your build, test, and deploy process fits how you actually work rather than a one-size-fits-all default.
